We have therefore been chosen by Metropolitan Insurance Company Limited (MET) of Ghana as one of their representatives in providing an innovative health insurance package THE SANKOFA HEALTH INSURANCE (SHIP) PLAN to Ghanaians living in the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe.
The Sankofa Plan is underwritten and administered by Metropolitan Insurance Company Limited (MET), the leading private health Insurer in Ghana. It was officially launched in the UK on 24 June 2003.Officials present were representatives of the Ghana High Commissioner, the Press including West Africa, Ghana Review and Ghana Today, The Chief executive officer and other representatives of Metropolitan Insurance Company Limited (MET), Ghana and the managing director of Tri –Star, Ghana and the representatives of the different Ghanaian groups in the UK.

METROPOLITAN INSURANCE COMPANY Metropolitan Insurance Company Limited (MET) is a multi-line insurance company operating in Ghana with proven competences and record of accomplishment among a large number of individual and blue chip clientele. The new management team is made up of professionals in Actuarial Science, Insurance, Finance & Accounting, Marketing, Law and Medicine. The birth of MET marked a new phenomenon, a new force in the Ghanaian Insurance Market. Over the past six years, MET has reinvented the way insurance services are delivered in Ghana.
